Terms of use

These terms apply to the website ana3d.app, the 3D viewer on it and the Ana3D app for Android and iOS. By using Ana3D you accept them. Contact: [email protected].

What Ana3D is, and is not

Ana3D is an interactive 3D atlas of human anatomy for learning and teaching.

Ana3D is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Do not use it to diagnose, treat or make decisions about a patient. Anatomy varies between people, and the models are simplified.

Names and definitions outside English are machine translations that no anatomist has reviewed yet. The Editorial policy explains how far each kind of content has been checked.

What is free

Every atlas, every layer, every tool of the viewer, the on-screen quiz and a standard image with its credit line are free, with no account. We may change or add free features.

Ana3D Pro

• What it is: one payment (19.99 USD or 299,000 VND; in the app, Google Play or the App Store shows its own price) that unlocks the paid features: revision sheets and printable tests and, in the app, the study tools and the quiz on the 3D model, and paid features of the same kind that we add later.
• Lifetime means for as long as Ana3D is operated. There is no subscription and no renewal. If we ever have to close the service, we will announce it on this site at least 90 days ahead, and documents you have already made stay yours.
• No account: after a confirmed payment your device receives a licence token. Give an email address at purchase to restore Pro on another device. Without an email, Pro lives only in the browser where you bought it and is lost if its data is cleared; we then have no way to recognise you.
• Devices: a licence is for one person, on that person's own devices (up to 8 at a time; the oldest is signed out when a ninth is added). Do not share, resell or publish a licence or its token.
• Where you buy: on the web by PayPal, or by bank transfer (VietQR) if you are in Vietnam; in the app through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Each purchase opens Pro where it was made: a web purchase on the web, an app purchase in the app on the same Google or Apple account.
• Refunds: full refund within 14 days for any reason. See the Refund policy.
• Withdrawal: we may withdraw a licence that was refunded or charged back, obtained by fraud, or shared in breach of these terms.

Prices can change for future purchases; a purchase already made is never charged again.

What you may do with what you make

Revision sheets, printable tests and images you make with Ana3D are yours to print, copy and hand out for your own study and your own teaching, including in a paid class. Keep the credit line on them: the models come from openly licensed sources that require attribution. You may not sell the documents as a product of their own or republish them in bulk.

Content and licences

The 3D models and much of the terminology come from open scientific sources, each under its own licence (mostly Creative Commons Attribution). Those licences continue to apply to that material, and nothing in these terms restricts the rights they give you. The list is on Sources and licences. The Ana3D name, the software, the site design and the texts we wrote are ours.

Acceptable use

Do not: copy the model files or the database in bulk outside what the source licences allow; overload or probe the service, or get around its rate limits; bypass the licence check or help others to; use Ana3D to break the law.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Ana3D available and correct, but it is provided "as is": we do not promise that it is free of errors or always online. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with Ana3D is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the consumer rights you have in your country.

Law and disputes

Ana3D is operated from Vietnam and these terms are governed by Vietnamese law, without taking away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. Write to us first: most problems are solved by email.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date on this page shows the latest version. A change never removes Pro from someone who has already paid for it.
