Định nghĩa

Nhánh đầu tiên của động mạch mạc treo tràng dưới (IMA) là động mạch đại tràng trái. Động mạch đại tràng trái cấp máu cho một phần ba xa của đại tràng ngang và toàn bộ đại tràng xuống. Sau khi tách khỏi IMA, động mạch đại tràng trái chạy trước niệu quản trái, các mạch tinh trong bên trái (ở nam) và cơ thắt lưng lớn, trước khi chia thành đoạn lên và đoạn xuống.
