척수의 배가쪽 표면을 지나간다. 위소뇌다리를 통해 소뇌로 들어간다. 분절 수준에서 정중선을 넘고 소뇌에서 다시 넘어간다. 그 종말은 소뇌 앞엽에, 특히 같은쪽 중간겉질에 분포한다. 입쪽으로는 소엽 II까지 뻗는다.
