척수에 위치한 겉질척수로의 부분으로, 겉질척수섬유의 75~90%가 피라미드교차에서 뇌줄기의 반대쪽으로 넘어가면서 형성된다. 이 신경로는 가쪽백색기둥에서 척수의 전체 길이를 따라 내려간다(Brain Info에서 수정).
