颞叶外侧面的组成部分。其嘴侧界为颞上沟的嘴侧端。尾侧界为颞上回的尾侧部（在与缘上回相延续处之后）。内侧界为外侧裂（如存在，还有缘上回），外侧界为颞上沟（Christine Fennema-Notestine）。
