定义

以灰质为主的中脑结构，位于大脑脚底的背侧、中脑被盖的腹侧。它分为背侧细胞致密的区域即致密部，和位置更靠腹侧、细胞排列较疏松的网状部。网状部的最外侧区称为外侧部（MM）。
