정의

볼굴대, 입꼬리(입구석) 및 광대뼈에 부착하는 얼굴근육이다. 이 근육은 작은광대근의 배쪽, 넓은목근의 등쪽에 있다. 많은 포유류에서 이 근육은 바깥귀의 연골에도 부착하는데, 이 경우 auriculolabialis inferior라고 한다. Diogo 2008; Diogo et al., 2009; Burrows et al.., 2011., 또한 DuBrul, 1980 참조.
