Composante antérieure du lobe temporal (limite rostrale), qui s'étend caudalement jusqu'au cortex entorhinal. Les limites médiale et latérale sont respectivement la face médiale du lobe temporal et les sillons temporaux supérieur ou inférieur (Christine Fennema-Notestine).
