Thành phần của thuỳ chẩm. Ranh giới phía mỏ là lát cắt đứng ngang đầu tiên ở trên rãnh cựa mà ở đó vỏ não hồi chêm bắt đầu thấy được, còn ranh giới phía đuôi là lát cắt cuối cùng mà ở đó còn thấy rãnh cựa. Ranh giới trong là phần trong nhất của vỏ não chẩm và vỏ não đỉnh. Ranh giới trên ngoài là khe đỉnh chẩm, còn ranh giới dưới ngoài là vỏ não quanh rãnh cựa (Christine Fennema-Notestine).
